In This War Of Mine non giochi nel ruolo di un soldato d'élite, ma piuttosto in quello di un gruppo di civili che cerca di sopravvivere in una cittŕ sotto assedio, lottando con la carenza di cibo e medicine e costantemente in pericolo a causa di cecchini e rovistatori ostili. Il gioco ti permette di vedere la guerra da un punto di vista completamente nuovo.
La velocitŕ del gioco č dettata dall'alternarsi del giorno e della notte. Durante il giorno i cecchini appostati fuori ti impediscono di uscire, quindi devi occuparti del tuo rifugio producendo e scambiando oggetti e prendendoti cura dei sopravvissuti. Di notte invia in missione uno dei civili in una serie di luoghi unici, alla ricerca di oggetti che vi aiuteranno a sopravvivere.
Affronta questioni di vita o di morte facendoti guidare dalla tua coscienza. Cerca di proteggere tutti gli abitanti del tuo rifugio o sacrificane alcuni per la sopravvivenza degli altri. In tempo di guerra non esistono decisioni giuste o sbagliate, esiste solo la sopravvivenza. Prima te ne fai una ragione, meglio č.
This War of Mine: Anniversary Edition
Sono passati due anni dalla pubblicazione globale di This War of Mine, ma lo stiamo ancora ampliando. Questo nuovo DLC gratuito aggiunge nuovi personaggi, nuovi luoghi da esplorare e, soprattutto, un nuovissimo finale, che porterŕ a un nuovo epilogo del gioco. Ma il dilemma rimane: fino a dove vi spingerete per proteggere i vostri cari?
This War of Mine:
• Ispirato a fatti realmente accaduti.
• Controlla i sopravvissuti e gestisci il rifugio.
• Produci armi, alcol, letti e stufe: qualsiasi cosa ti aiuti a sopravvivere.
• Prendi decisioni: un'esperienza spesso spietata ed emotivamente provante.
• Ogni volta che inizi una nuova partita, il mondo e i personaggi sono generati in modo casuale.
• Grafica stilizzata a carboncino che enfatizza il tema del gioco.
Il mondo di This War of Mine č stato ampliato con due DLC:
– The Little Ones: esplora le difficoltŕ della sopravvivenza in tempo di guerra da una nuova prospettiva, quella di un bambino.
– Father's Promise: una straziante storia di perdita e speranza in una cittŕ devastata dalla guerra, un DLC che aprirŕ una serie di storie autonome, la seconda delle quali č attesa nel 2018.
